Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 1.8 km from the hostel. Convenient, safe, clean and comfortable. I think it is superb. Good space if stays two.

Offering rooms in a traditional Japanese-style building, Guesthouse ITOYA Kyoto is a 7-minute walk from the Horikawa Imadegawa Bus Station. Imadegawa Train Station is a 17-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the building. We liked everything about our stay at Itoya Guest House. This was our favorite place to stay during our three week trip in Japan. It was clean, tidy, big and had everything needed and a little more!

The property is non-smoking and is set 400 metres from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. Perfect place to stay! The owner was very welcoming and we felt like home. We could leave our luggages until late at night after the check-in. Not so much to say! Just perfect!

With a shared lounge, the 2-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The property is less than 1 km from Kyoto Station, and within 2.6 km of the city centre. The hostel exceeded my (high) expectations in almost every way. Perfectly clean throughout, with well arranged rooms (both bunk bed rooms and the semi-separate rooms), neat shower/laundry rooms, a pleasant lounge with an accessible fridge and filtered drinking water, and above all, just a 3-5 minute walk from Kyoto Station. It was so perfect I came back to it again after being away from Kyoto for a few days. Also fantastic value for money!
