We booked a standard double bed and the room was huge! We were happy we did not upgrade upon arrival as there was no need to in the end. We were sorry we didn't stay here longer and do a day trip or two to Osaka instead, as Osaka is only a 15 min Bullet Train ride and every hotel after this was a let down as they were so cramped and more expensive. There's so much to do in Kyoto too! The bar upstairs is unbelievable and the cocktails and mocktails were unreal. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so lovely!

The coziest, cleanest hotel we stayed at. The rooms are beautiful, divided into riokan and western sections. We enjoyed eating on tatami mats and sleeping on foutons.

What a little gem this is, a beautiful room that is classy and really huge, beautiful view of the Kamo river, you are close to a lot of interesting places. Love to take a night stroll around the area. I have been in Kyoto 3 times, and this is the best hotel by far. Staffs speak good english and really friendly

Their customer service go far beyond the norm. I was in Nara when I message them via booking app because I do not have a local number. I needed their assistance to call a dental clinic because my travelling partner suffered a really bad toothache. I gave them one dental contact in Tokyo to help us to make an appointment the next day, while we returned to Waka Heian on that night from Nara. Not only they call that clinic, they took initiative to contact a handful of English speaking clinics near my tokyo hotels and called on our behalf while we are still in Nara. I only saw their reply 1 hour later. They knew where we stay in Tokyo as we arranged yamanto service through them. Such Customer service is really commendable and I highly recommend u stay at this hotel for their efficient and helpful service. Excellent location and 3mins walk to the train station with mulitple bus stops too.

The facility is very new, modern Japanese setting, the room has all the amenities you would need plus more. The staffs are very helpful and very much able when it comes to communicating and rcommendations of near by good places to eat.

The room was unbelievable, it was big and well equipped. All with a traditional Japanese looking, and we loved our polite toilet. Well located, we reach most of our attractions just walking, there is also a beautiful shire near by. And the staff were all super, there is coffee, tea and juice 24h if you want to have one.
